With 30+ years of fun in the French classroom, this isn't my first rodeo -- welcome to the rodeo!
The fact that you’re here tells me that you’re looking to re-fresh an idea or lesson that you have. Maybe you’re trying to balance work life and personal life and need a little boost of idea energy for tomorrow?
You’re in the right place because I can help!
As world language teachers, we get to be goofy and quirky without people thinking we’re nuts! (“Oh, she teaches French! That makes sense now.”)
We wear our passion for our students and their language journeys on our sleeves — and sometimes it zaps the energy from our brains and bodies. How do we keep ourselves and our lessons feeling fresh without spending 24/7 at school? Ya know, it shouldn’t be so difficult every day. Get ready to reclaim your time, be yourself in the classroom again, and maybe have your thinking challenged a bit along the way. Don’t give up — there is still another student that needs your help tomorrow!
I started my TpT store on a whim and then ignored it as my life in the classroom kept me busy. In the summer of 2021, I started to take my business more seriously and upload resources from the perspective of “What might someone be looking for?” instead of “What do I have on hand?”
Creating this blog and the accompanying resources gives a space to unleash my 30+ years in the classroom. It’s in my heart and soul to share knowledge, experiences, and resources in the hopes of making someone’s teaching journey sustainable for another day.
It was a 3-minute conversation in 1986 with my university French professor that led me to spend over three decades in the secondary French classroom. Throughout these teaching years, I became a wife, a mom of two amazing daughters, a National Board Certified French teacher, a university world language methods instructor, a small-business owner, and most recently: a fierce protector of my aging parents. It’s in my soul to share knowledge, experiences, and resources in the hopes of making someone’s teaching journey sustainable for another day.
Never underestimate the 3-minute conversation you will have with a student tomorrow.
How can I help you today?
